Artist's Comments

Cover for the audiobook version of "The Princess and the Goblin" by George MacDonald published by Kalliope Audiobooks. This piece was very much about capturing the dreamlike elements of the story, and certain symbols that glittered in my mind's eye as I read the text, and working them together visually.

I especially like the cloak fading into the landscape, the girl's hair and the detail in her dress.

This is so beautiful! The sky is definitely my favorite part of this :-) I wish there was a version of this with just the sky and the little castle as a wallpaper. I could stare this for a long time!

I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it then copy and paste this in your signature.

Okay, where do I start? The sky is beyond gorgeous. I like the billowing clouds and rocky mountain looming in the background. I've never read the book, but I get this sinister feeling from the string that the Princess is using from [the evil queen?]'s spinning wheel. Everything is just marvelous! My favorite part: the flaming rose. It's so realistic and beautiful. You did a wonderful job!
