Golden Fish is my first truly "personal" piece in ages... I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep one night and this would not leave my head. After fighting it a good hour, I decided to get up and sketch it out....only then did the glowing fish in my head go away! =)

Golden Fish by ~ldiehl - This is a mesmerizing piece, very surreal and calm, peaceful even. These glowing fish, like fireflies, are what really draw the viewer in. the water is delicious. its a great idea that you got up and sketched it, I cant remember how many 'good' ideas I had on the edge of sleep and repeated them to myself saying, ok like this and with that, and I will remember and the blue ... ok got it... but in the morning it was gone except for remembering that I had an idea. which is awful, if you forget something good it would be better if you forgot you had a good idea int he first place. this is fantastic the light is wonderful
